St. Elizabeth Boardman President Genie Aubel said the first three floors of the new tower are expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2014, and public relations specialist Sally Hammel said they expect to have the entire tower up and running no later than 2017.
Aubel told reporters at a Monday press conference that the Boardman campus was designed with the capacity for expansion and the assumption that such improvements would occur.

The space that maternity services' departure will open up on Belmont Avenue will be used for expanded Intensive Care and Trauma services. About $103.7 million worth of expansion and improvements are envisioned for St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus and another $88.7 million for the main campus in Youngstown in a $203 million investment plan over the next two years at the three main Humility of Mary Health Partners campuses, the hospital group announced Monday.
